Raman has never publicly said she supports BDS, just that everyone should have the First Amendment right to engage in boycotts. And given her problematic history, anti-Zionists in DSA have fixated on her refusal to support BDS as a reason why she's ineligible for endorsement under R22.

I’m going to leave you do deal w the bds/apartheid state claptrap on your own. The point here doesn’t really have much to do with BDS. It’s having a national panel rescind your local party’s mayor endorsement a week before the election in a comical train wreck. But if that works for you, awesome.

Raman has since said she encourages Angelenos to engage in BDS, but for some DSA National Political Committee members, that's still not enough because she won't say she personally supports BDS and will try to implement it as mayor. So they still think endorsing her violates R22.
