Always useful to note that the Dutch love their cars too much and that shows in some neighbourhoods.

#BetterStreets are always a work in progress.
Ever wondered what has happened to all the kids playing outside?

This happened 👇🏼

This is what responsive local government looks like: residents report problems, 311 routes them, and public workers fix them. Congrats to the crews behind NYC’s 200,000th pothole repair this year. #NYC #PublicWorks #BetterStreets

What a great response to our offer of pro bono help for #BetterTransportWeek.

We've had conversations with folks in Torbay, Hillingdon and Tulse Hill about local #BetterStreets issues and we've even redesigned a junction for @cycloxoxford.bsky.social.

Our industry has plenty of awards each year, but having recognition from those campaigning for #BetterStreets beats all of them!
Well this was lovely from @londoncycling.bsky.social at the #LCC2025 awards last night.

It really does mean a great deal for me in the push for more travel options in my home city and beyond; and for 2026, I've already got some blog posts forming!

Loved Brussels, so many bikes, including SO many different cargo bikes, plus great slow traffic streets like this one (also Audrey Hepburn was born here so doubly cool) #BetterStreets

A year ago 4000 vehicles/day used Sydney Street as a rat run. Today I gave evidence in favour of the trial modal filter and was proud to witness brave @bathnes.bsky.social Councillors face down motorist opposition and vote to make the trial permanent #Bath #Betterstreets #Peoplefirst

Ferdinand Bolstraat, Amsterdam in 1979 and today. Once a major road into the city centre for cars, now a thriving shopping street reserved only for people walking, cycling, and trams. Local residents fought for this transformation and traders don’t want the cars back! 🚲🚋 #BetterStreets #Amsterdam

GCAT has been working on our "Better Streets" campaign for over a year now and we were looking at mobilizing nearby. I hope we can collectively aid this neighbourhood in any way we can.

Today I am an example of why it is important that attention is brought to our walking environments. I'm at TCH tonight, waiting for xray of my left arm. Happened at work. Two paths not quite meeting level.

Two years on, NOTHING HAS CHANGED on the street itself TO MAKE IT SAFER, although we understand plans are now afoot. We hope they lead to meaningful change and safer streets for everyone.

We’ll keep campaigning for streets where people come first. 🚶‍♀️🚲
