Look for the constellation #Cassiopeia the Queen high in the sky on October and November evenings.
It'll be near #Polaris, the North Star. And at any time of year, you can use the #BigDipper to find Cassiopeia.

I'm not great at #astrophotography and only have a compact digital zoom camera and tripod - so pretty surprised to see, when editing these photos from a light-polluted York, that the camera's caught the double-star in the handle of the #Plough / #BigDipper!

ICYMI, last weekend I captured the biggest #BigDipper I've ever seen, on my phone camera. Processed to showcase it better (contrast, shadows, etc), I'm proud of this image. The link is to my song inspired by this fave constellation. #astro #astronomy #musicsky #music

In Korean mythology, the Big Dipper is known as Bukdu Chilseong (북두칠성, "Seven Stars of the Northern Sky") and holds a central place in traditional cosmology as a powerful deity controlling human fate, longevity, fortune, and disasters. (From KBS world)
