🧪🏺 Really, really wish there was a maintained single database with all Palaeolithic burials, and their bioarch, dating, archaeological associations... it's so exhausting trawling through papers & supporting online materials & site reports & museum websites & random blogs to try and find basic info

Yesterday was really useful, chatting with the Ancestors project team, prehistorians and bioarch scientists in Cambridge. Too few workshops like this.

I offered the five main challenges for prehistory: determining the structure, scale, scope, temporality of society, and pace of social change.

The @archaeologyeaa.bsky.social reversed its decision to exclude israeli institutions. How can #EAA not take the right side while the entire Palestinian population and #heritage are being destroyed? Do they even care about humans or heritage?
