I warned 3 years ago that mink farms are a likely route to a new and horrific human pandemic, and once more I'm fervently praying it doesn't map out that way.

I'm surprised there's still a "fur trade". In the 80's and 90's there were widespread protests against it.
In California, I believe it was banned in 2019, went into full effect by 2023.
