Hearing how current Admin is concerned about early birth (low birthweight) kids. As our population increases, humans are putting so much pollution into the air. 2nd leading cause of death!! If current admin is so worried, they shouldn't be rolling back environmental regulations. Serious disconnect.

Another wild thing I've learnt from paediatrics today.
In this era of modern medicine, it is actually POSSIBLE for extremely premature babies less than 400 grams birthweight to survive (though still high risk of complications)
For context, the normal baby birthweight is 3 kilograms.

Their milestones were all delayed by several days and combined with their low birthweight and lack of fur on the extremities when born, I suspect they were premature.

Their low birthweight combined with severely delayed milestones (they were three weeks old before they opened their eyes) suggest to me they were premature. When I say these kittens surviving was a miracle, I mean it. Yeah, I'm good, but I'm not THAT good. Miracles.

I only realised I'm #ActuallyAutistic 4 years ago at 51yo i.e. born before rubella vaccines, and was very premature/very low birthweight (also autism risk factors)
regardless, not all very preterm babies, nor all those born with rubella, are later diagnosed with autism; rather it's overwhelmingly
