I tested out the new April colorway Rainbows in the Mist and it performs beautifully as a #handspun #artyarn. Misty grey interspersed with #pastelrainbow. I love it! And now I want to knit it, too. #rainbowyarn

March 2025: Lucky Charms

The new theme for March is “Lucky Charms” which includes bright rainbows against a backdrop of mottled Shamrock greens.

After having so much fun with a new #handdyeing technique in March, I decided to use the same idea for a pretty #rainbow in Easter pastels.

Dyed on 70/30 #merinosilk and available in my shop now!

I loaded up all the #fibrecraft goodies today and hauled them down to the #fibreshindig in Calgary. It’s such a fabulous show specializing in supplies for ALL the fibre handcrafts and soooo much more!

I couldn’t resist doing a little #handknit #swatch on the newest #handspun #artyarn. Now I want go dye up enough to do a #rainbow in the mist sweater to see how it performs over bigger areas. It’s a case of continuous inspiration.

And now all of the little #crochet projects I’ve had stashed away for years are moving to the front of the line! My creative arc is being forced to sweep wider this year.

This is a first attempt at the #grannymushroom pattern by CrochetRoad.

Going on a long road trip means no dyeing and no spinning, but it does encourage other more portable forms of #fibercraft! I haven’t crocheted in ages but #grannysquares are coming back around again so I thought I’d jump in.

New project idea off and running! I’m using #fabricscraps from my quilting and rugmaking along with #handmadeglassbeads to create some truly #bohostyle jewelry.
