YEARS LATER I am still haunted by that booktokker who was holding up a book and saying it was actually well written because unlike all the popular stuff out there, this one didn't use tropes.

I received an eArc w/ advertisement for some Booktokker in it a few weeks ago so, yes.
the main reason given as to why people are moving away from e-books back to paper is 'screen fatigue', the idea that people want a break from the digital world, but I would like to propose instead: the publisher can't update your book so it starts playing more ads

It made me think of that video of the booktokker who was like, 'This book has too many words,' about Six of Crows. It's good for books to have words and chapters and paragraphs. It's good to have detail. Everything has become so chunked these days. Everything's a snippet. A clip. I miss details.
