breakerofchains by @milesmcbain.bsky.social. “use often” is an understatement.

If you use #tidyverse / dplyr, breakerofchains by @milesmcbain.bsky.social is one of my favorite productivity #rstats 📦

Very excited to learn that it works in #positron too! One more reason to keep using this IDE, absolutely loving it

easily one of the R packages I use the most is @milesmcbain.bsky.social's breakerofchains, which elegantly runs everything in a piped command up to the current line

No more fussy highlighting of just the right parts!

The thing is, I feel it’s the {breakerofchains} crowd who are most likely hunt me down if I ever retired the repo.

Jonathan McPherson just mentioned datapasta at the opening keynote of #positconf, so I'm sharing this once again to share the magic, for all those discovering it for the very first time ❤️

The Positron data viewer is so cool that I thought I'd give The IDE another go. It's actually quite nice! Especially with breakerofchains (which also emulates the alt+enter 'run line and don't move point' -command) and the Awesome Emacs Keymap extension.

Hi! I use this every day in positron, it's great. you just need to have the package installed and set up a keybinding like the VS code instructions github.com/MilesMcBain/...

I create 2 shortcuts, the regular 1 that prints output to console, and then an additional one with View() wrapped around it

Great post! I've gone through a similar process of trying to figure out the best workflow for this kind of thing. Hadn't seen peek() before, definitely checking that out.

Alfred all day. I have so many litte tweaks and hotkeys set up with Alfred that I forget which ones aren’t default system behavior.

I’m in the RStudio over VScode for R scripting camp, especially because of addons like breakerofchains. iTerm2 for all the stuff Terminal should have and doesn’t.
