Some architecture and decorative elements from the Albert Hall #Manchester, at recent #MountainGoats gig. If there’s any bricklaying experts out there, can they settle a discussion whether the pattern is English or Flemish bond?

The hedge fund was where I learned bricklaying (that's me on the left)

I felled a forest for the lumber and dynamited the stumps using gunpowder scraped from Dad's safari ammo

I did all this while adding value for shareholders and catching marlin off the Keys from the deck of Daddy's yacht

2) Seriously, how in the fuck could you possibly think that was a photo from 1957?

3) There are loads of photos of young Sir Stewart on the internet.

4) He was going quite bald at 17, and completely bald at 19.

As an 8 y/o boy I had an irrational & deep seated dislike of ballet dancers. I believed ballet dancing as a profession was as commonplace as bricklaying & that I'd be coerced into spending my adult working life leaping about in tight fitting black pants.

Why's his whole family at the worksite with him

And how many bricklaying jobs are there right now

The fact that houses aren't being built is pretty common knowledge. It helps the boomers' house values go up and up and up

Stopped bartending and bricklaying with a Columbia MS. But those skills still serve me. Need a fireplace? Need a Tom Collins? I’m your guy!

Nah, he should be put in that holiday home in Gaza that he's always dreamed about.

Oh wait...... What's that you say? It's still a pile of rubble? Ah well. He'll get time to practice his bricklaying.

To borrow a policy from Stephen Bush, the is one type of learning that is most likely to actually help someone into a job and it isn't an NVQ in bricklaying.

Give driving lessons to NEETs.
Amazingly, it appears that the government is basically pushing a YouTube grindset hustle, as part of their attempt to shitehouse their own MPs into voting for the benefit cuts they previously refused to vote for.

I didn't know. I suspect a lot of people who've managed to find paying work as a ballet dancer are doing it very much as a part time job, with most of their income coming from another job.

Also, bricklaying must be a tiny subset of the construction industry.
