I grew up in South Brooklyn, and am Jewish. When describing Brighton, my first thought is "Russian," "Ukrainian," "Slavic," or "Eastern European."
Are there many Jews? Sure. But there are many Jewish neighborhoods all over south and central BK. The defining characteristic of Brighton is...not that.

Also, like, it’s very clear that Zohran is referring to multiple aspects of a broadly Eastern European neighborhood of Brighton Beach, some of which are not necessarily Jewish coded (like Syrniki)

I had the good fortune to see Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart acting together in 'No Man's Land' at Brighton Theatre Royal a number of years ago. RIP
