Back from a long weekend in Wales. While there, the first Brown Shrike recorded in Wales was reported. It involved a 100 mile round trip into Pembrokeshire. It was worth it. We arrived at the location and after 4 hours of searching we found the Brown Shrike. It’s a first for me too. #BrownShrike

石垣鳥見旅から、シマアカモズのちり
本州以北の亜種アカモズは絶滅待ったなしの状態と聞くけれど、南方のこの亜種はわりとフツーにいて、おじいちゃんが日向ぼっこしてる公園や農耕地で心ゆくまでちりを観察することが可能。
亜種アカモズもそんな状態になってくれたらいいねぇ…
