DYK? There are several procedures commonly used as surgical treatment for #bunions. The type of bunion correction procedure used will depend on: the extent of the deformity, the characteristics of the patient, and the preference of the surgeon.

So I’ve been laid up after foot surgery. I had a bunionectomy and a bone shortened. It’s a pretty dull recovery so far, but I did design and 3d print myself a cane. I design for the absurd

Life hack: If you need surgery, but can't afford the copay even w/ insurance - search for medical trials.

My bunionectomy was free, and I didn't need to use my PTO, because they paid me for each appointment & the 3 days I spent in a fancy hospital room for the post-op non-opioid pain med trials.

Throw a bunionectomy scar and ingrown nail on one. No reason for those in particular 🫠

The McBride bunionectomy is a soft-tissue realignment surgery used to treat mild-to-moderate hallux valgus (bunions) by removing the bony bump, releasing the tightened adductor hallucis tendon, and repairing the joint capsule.

I'm three months out from a double keyhole bunionectomy, have pins in my toes, and am learning to walk again, but this is just next level! Recovery must be *so* hard. Damn!

Bunions are painful bony lumps that grow along the inside of your foot at the joint where your big toe meets your foot -- they grow slowly as the big toe angles inward. Learn how to treat bunions at home and determine if you need surgery to remove them (bunionectomy). wb.md/45awr6O

This woman having a lapidus bunionectomy then having her hammer toes fixed. On both feet. The surgery is 6.5 hours. How do surgeons go on for so long? I would be so hungry #MyFeetAreKillingMe

Nav1.8 knock down had no influence on a preclinical post surgical model (but worked for inflammatory and NP). The therapeutic effect of Suzetrigine was pretty small for both bunionectomy and abdominoplasty. PK may explain the failure of VX-993. But I am still thinking indication.

Maybe, Michael, but why would one Nav1.8 inhibitor work and another would not for the same indication? Maybe the wrong indication as the suzetrigine trials were a mix of postsurgical pain types and this was just bunionectomy, but I don't think that is a good explanation. More likely PK?
