If he takes off, is that a bunionectomy?

Took the missus for outpatient surgery today on her foot to have a plate, screw, and associated pins removed from her bunionectomy four months ago.

Shit starts falling apart after the warranty runs out.

because of delicate Ehlers-Danlos skin plus previous bunionectomy plus neurological condition called CRPS i have to have pedicures every two weeks or my feet turn into a private circle of hell but my god all that plus the autism makes everything about this next to impossible to endure

Life hack: If you need surgery, but can't afford the copay even w/ insurance - search for medical trials.

My bunionectomy was free, and I didn't need to use my PTO, because they paid me for each appointment & the 3 days I spent in a fancy hospital room for the post-op non-opioid pain med trials.

I have to go see an orthopedist I have to choose for my ankle. I wanted to see my guy who did my bunionectomy years ago and who was omg so hot 🥵🥵🥵🥵 but he’s very popular now and I could only see his PA. I’m mad bc I was like, yes please penetrate me with your high-tech screws.

The stitches are gone! Hafta say, the bilateral bunionectomy hurt but not as much as having running stitches pulled from very puffy feet.

Off work for another 2.5 months. Let the healing begin...so I can go back to my challenging 20km hikes!

Vertex prices suzetrigine (Journavx) at $31/day. ICER’s report finds it cost-saving.

Better than placebo in trials but that doesn’t mean much.

Similar effect to 5 mg oxy/325 mg tylenol for tummy tuck but slower for bunionectomy. Sample size very small. www.technologynetworks.com/tn/news/us-a...
US Approves Non-Opioid Painkiller: What Is It, and How Does It Work?

This is the @nejm.org study that examined non-opioid analgesic, VX-548 (suzetrigine/Journavx), in acute postoperative pain (bunionectomy & paniculectomy). 100 mg load, then 50 mg for maintenance was comparable to 5- mg of hydrocodone. Low dose no better than placebo.

So I’ve been laid up after foot surgery. I had a bunionectomy and a bone shortened. It’s a pretty dull recovery so far, but I did design and 3d print myself a cane. I design for the absurd

He had a bunionectomy and saw the Light.

Nav1.8 knock down had no influence on a preclinical post surgical model (but worked for inflammatory and NP). The therapeutic effect of Suzetrigine was pretty small for both bunionectomy and abdominoplasty. PK may explain the failure of VX-993. But I am still thinking indication.

Had my first wipeout on my knee scooter today after using it since my June 10 Bunionectomy

Trying to err on the side of caution and put as little weight on the foot as possible

The lesson of this is: go slow and take it easy because I’m still healing

Yeah, this is what I ended up doing when I had my bunionectomy a few years ago once the pain was low enough that the being sick from the norcos they gave me was worse

They have not tested it extensively for migraine (the two efficacy Phase III trials were abdominoplasty and bunionectomy). The safety Phase III enrolled patients with a range of conditions and had a bunch of indications it might be useful in other cases, though: www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....
VX-548 in the treatment of acute pain
Acute pain management requires balancing analgesia with adverse effects risk. The voltage-gated sodium channel NaV1.8 plays an important role in pain physiology, and its inhibition was shown to hav...

38 days ago, I had a bunionectomy. Charlie and I went out for a walk that morning. Today we went for a short walk. More to come with this short king.

Clinical trials show Journavx's efficacy in surgical pain. However, it didn't outperform weak opioids in all trials (i.e. tummy tuck and bunionectomy.)

UnitedHealthcare signals intent to cover Journavx, citing societal pressure for non-addictive painkillers.

Having a keyhole bunionectomy today, of all things. My bunion isn't bad but it will get worse if I don't fix it now. Also, don't want to go home with an opiod prescription - would rather endure some pain! Will have to chat to my surgeon. 😖

good news: I am taking medical leave from my master's degree and getting my second bunionectomy April 14 so I can spend time recovering

Bunionectomy pain the next day when I was still two hours from being able to take my meds but the stuff from the hospital and my meds from earlier were wearing off. Just searing, constant pain that would not stop no matter what.
