[24] Children on the Road (c1942). As one of his final images it is perhaps his most hopeful. Soutine is an amazing artist. If you want to see more of his work go to the Pompidou or Barnes. There is a magnificent landscape by Soutine, Man Climbing the Stairs (c1922) in the Dublin National Gallery

Sheaffer Triumph Wideband fountain pen c1942-1945. Due to wartime rationing, a plastic coated steel rod was used instead of stainless. Moisture got under the plastic, and well ... rust. Here is the restored pen with a new stainless steel threaded rod. I love bringing these beauties back to life!
