Awful news out of Sicamous, as the iconic D Dutchmen Dairy was mostly destroyed by a fire overnight. 40 calves died.

What a terrible tragedy for such a beloved business.

"These notes describe orphan wells spewing toxic water near homes or into streams, leaving scars of salt residue. A homeowner reported that his grandchildren often play near a purging well. Ranchers have lost calves, which, drawn to the salty water, died after drinking it."
NEW: Salt water laced with cancer-causing chemicals, a byproduct of oil and gas drilling, keeps shooting out of the ground in Oklahoma.

Experts say it means even more wastewater is spreading underground, poisoning the state’s water supply.

Norway's 2026 whaling season is over. 418 minke whales were killed. But that number doesn't include the unborn calves who died with their mothers. Around 40% of whales killed in Norway are pregnant.

You’d really think the guy died while he was trying to kill the calves with a hammer or something from that thread, instead of trying to get a photograph while unaware of the mother’s proximity.

A curious case. Almost 100 cows & 40 calves died at an AACo property in Queensland around the 2025 Australia Day weekend. It's only through RTI we learn the Crisafulli government spared the company of investigation under the Animal Care and Protection Act. #qldpol www.abc.net.au/news/2026-04...

And also the fact that so many cattle have died in hurricanes, floods, fires, etc in the past few years. I've been trying to buy calves and nobody is selling at any price right now.

I'm 75 in December and cut off this year is 31/12/2026

Well not actually diagnosed but following a suspected pick up of the virus - I could not walk 50 metres without stopping for 5-10 minutes.

Calves wrecked and out of breath.

Nearly died in the Red Sea with a full face snorkel on.

Castrating calves on the Jackson Ranch, 2009. That's the ranch foreman, 83-year-old Morris Vann, with the white gloves on. Morris died in 2016. He had some great stories. He was revered by all who knew him. You better believe we had a mess of calf fries afterward. One of my own photos, of course.

‘HIGH-WELFARE’ WAGYU BEEF 🥩

100+ cows & calves died of thirst 😞

‘2nd lot of deaths involved animals that had received FLY REPELLENT TREATMENT’

If even the highest priced animal products aren’t regulated, what do you think is happening to the animals in farms desperately trying to minimize costs?

Bulls can bring out the survival instinct of people. Pepe, like all Bulls that lived on the farm. I been around them since they were Bull Calves. Fed them, played with them.

And if you're wondering. All Bulls, and Cows are/were Dairy, and not for beef. They were born, lived, and died on the farm.

So, I just saw this ad and my mouth dropped open. Do these "Alpha males" trying to regrow hair know that they're getting the same thing that they give calves if their mother has died? 😅😅

And the AA Company allowed 140 cattle to die of thirst in the NT over the Aust day weekend, because nobody was there to monitor taps - 100 cows, 40 calves. AND another 90 died, cause undisclosed. No consequences. There should be prosecutions, at the least.

Craig died this morning. Craig was born in January 1972 to Cassandra of the CB family. Craig had just turned 54 years old. He led a long life and no doubt fathered many calves. He died peacefully of natural causes.

Aaron Judge has died. He tried to stand up and his calves broke out of his legs like The Great Escape. He stumbled over the ledge of his 20th story suite after that. Very sad to hear. He should've kept the sliding door closed but it was a nice breeze. RIP
