Canton Network’s expansion of tokenized equity and commodity markets tests whether privacy, interoperability and institutional participation can turn blockchain projects into regulated financial infrastructure for banks.

LSEG today announces that it has been appointed as a Super Validator on the Canton Network. This expands LSEG’s existing role as a validator through the cash application of LSEG’s Digital Settlement House (DiSH) on Canton’s privacy-enabled blockchain network, purpose-built for institutional finance. Following the technical launch of DiSH earlier this year, this milestone builds on LSEG's ongoing participation in the Canton Network and underscores its commitment to developing secure, compliant financial market solutions. DiSH has already enabled participants on Canton to settle intraday repos in DiSH cash as part of Proof of Concepts (PoCs), offering an alternative to non-cash tokens such as stablecoins. As a Super Validator, LSEG will help strengthen Canton's infrastructure, support network governance, and collaborate with ecosystem participants. LSEG also intends to bring other services into the Canton Network, helping to advance its development and adoption across global markets.
