#captchas
ustedes están muy jóvenes, pero en mis días los captchas eran tomarse una selfi sosteniendo una nota escrita a mano que dijera "este es el androide que están buscando"

Predicate logic on graph traversals, networks of attestation, workable without needing to trust a platform.

Not biometrics or blue checkmarks or captchas.

I think it’s ai training. I used to do hundreds of captchas a day. It was all click the pics with a bus/crosswalk/motorcycle. So I figured it was machine learning stuff to sell to waymo and Tesla

The last two day’s Wordles are evidence the machine uprising has begun.

They’re basically CAPTCHAs for humans.

I'm tired of having to send codes or solve captchas to log in to a site because capitalism has capitulated to bots and bad actors. I'm tired of useless chat bots. I'm inundated by spam calls and can barely use my phone. Why can't these billionaires and their businesses fix this shit? The broke it.

I think this is probably about how I feel with most captchas! 🤣

I just failed 3 captchas in a row because I don’t believe a basket is a “bucket”

invisible_playwright_mcp, from feder-cr, puts a patched Firefox browser behind MCP, with tools for navigating, clicking, typing and reading real web pages. Coding agents can use it for browser tasks that need a live page, not an API. #software

Flyde blocks everything with CAPTCHAs. One of a handful TBF.

Every CAPTCHA is designed to retire itself and necessitate new CAPTCHAs. Then there are the mechanical Turks with 100 accounts open on virtual machines. I try to see if anybody I know is following them. The big blessing is Bluesky is following feed by default, limiting the reach of bots.

Fuck image CAPTCHAs, fuck inaccessible forms. Thank god AI at this point.

Just got a V-safe text from the CDC (“Vaxxed?”) & since I had the mini-malaria chills this time tried to respond.

Old password expired and CDC site reset button doesn’t work. Can’t create new account, error message. Tried ‘Help’ email form, got 2 Captchas, form stopped responding. #publichealth

The Anthropic Copyright Settlement people sent out an email today inviting authors to go to the website. However, their captchas make me feel like I'm in the movie Backrooms and are not working no matter how many times I complete them correctly

Captcha providers and AI companies could engage to have the AIs have "cognitive blindspots" so that there are still captchas that humans can solve but LLMs can not
October 1, 2026 at 6:26 PM
We already have the endless loops. Something I think about a lot lately is the excessive cognitive load and distraction of encountering Cloudflare checks and CAPTCHAs and two factors EVERYWHERE now, on top of the web's existing problems. It's particularly hostile design for those of us with ADHD.

Yeah, as you say, everything highlighted in blue is happening.

Fuck it, let's move to 10FA Captchas and never be able to log into anything ever again.

At this point I increasingly just want it over with.
