A carer‑friendly community might offer=
awareness
understanding
kindness
local activities
supportive workplaces
All of that is positive - but none of it replaces the statutory support that 24/7 P1 unpaid carers urgently need. #CarersWeek #CarersWeek2026

Carers Week 2026 starts today.

Without #ChangingPlacesToilets, many families can’t leave the house or must cut trips short.

These facilities aren’t a luxury. They’re essential for dignity, safety and inclusion.

We need change so families don’t have to go without.

If you regularly help a family or friend with daily tasks, emotional support, or medical needs, you might be a carer.

There’s no perfect script for difficult conversations. Focus on kindness, connection, and seeing the person beyond their condition.

Sometimes breaking a few eggshells can even lead to a laugh. 🥚💜
