a very obvious problem with the nuclear block is that it makes it less likely that you patch things up with someone than you would with e.g. a clickthrough block and it's insane that Will is getting the blowback he's getting on this

The nuclear block should be paired with a feature where every month you can send a petition to one person asking to be unblocked. Like there’s one guy on here who has me blocked who I genuinely quite like, have no major disagreements with, and who talks to my friends a lot. It’s really inconvenient!

The "Threads has this many users" number is also wildly cooked. It counts anything featured on Insta/Facebook, regardless of clickthrough.

If I were a journalist I would care much more about engagement with my story then about mean replies. There's ample data showing clickthrough rates are higher on BlueSky then X. BlueSky folks love to hate read.

This post is essentially just saying the Nazis are nicer to me and that's what matters.
