74,294 years ago, in Ancient Reykjavik, a wise Bahrainian Clumber spaniel named “Tubbo” said “Atshoot seventhly.” and everybody duded. ☣ #inspiring

Helen's #BirdOfTheDay theme today (via Rob) is #Green (bird or background) with an alt' theme of #Geese so I'm going for a Twofer with a mixture of #Greylag & #Canada geese on green grass at Clumber Park @nationaltrust.org.uk Nottinghamshire. #birds

A lovely surprise today! ❤️ A literary agent sent me a wonderfully thoughtful rejection for Six, They Said, praising its “compelling premise”, emotional resonance and my “beautiful writing”. She also offered some genuinely useful feedback. Sometimes a rejection can be encouraging! #KidLit #AmQuerying

I went on the AKC site to see what sort of dog I should get, and it recommended Clumber Spaniels and Irish Glen of Imaal Terriers. Both are relatively chill, bark very little, and are trainable. Also good with children.

I saw one in real life today and it was magnificent. Took a minute for him to warm up but then he was so happy to get petted! (And his people were impressed I knew what a Clumber was.)

Those Clumber Spaniels pictured would rock a smoking pipe and deerstalker, à la Sherlock Holmes.

We had a Clumber Spaniel growing up. The activity level described it apt, save for when people food was available. Went to answer the doorbell one time to greet a new baby to the family, and found our dog with all fours on the kitchen table enjoying our pizza dinner.

One day, I will have a Clumber Spaniel. Their main personality trait is love and their preferred activity is to lie on the couch fart

The sun was shining, so a spontaneous afternoon trip over to Clumber Park to banish a few shadows. Nothing very special on view on the lake, but it still worked its magic. 🪶

A cob is a bread roll or small loaf.

The window is still there though the shop no longer sells cobs.

Fungi was quite thin on the ground in Clumber Park on today's walk. We did find a bit here and there. #fungifriends

The weather was unseasonably warm but the vibe in Clumber Park was definitely autumnal. There were some lovely displays in the glasshouse. 🎃

The clumber spaniel puppy in our apartment complex is no longer a puppy, but he still loves flailing about like one

This is Pippi. She won't answer to her legal name, which is, according to her Kennel Club papers, "Muzzmurray's Bush Blaster". I kid you not.
