#WIPWednesday 🧶 and, having finished one jumper, I have now cast on another sleeveless vest/tunic. I am knitting a UraUe Plain by Natsuko Iida, a lovely elegant garment. The pattern photos are sleek understated grey. My vest is rather more . . . colourful!

After two years, I've finally finished my flag blanket. It's knit in approximately 280 rows of moss stitch using ColourLab DK by West Yorkshire Spinners.

Breaking down boxes so SO can take them to the transfer station. I thought these were empty, but so far I've discovered yarn for 3 sweaters, an orchid, an amaryllis, a Smokey Bear gift pack (mug, jigsaw puzzle, t-shirt), battery operated candles, and a case of paper towels! Like Christmas!🧶

The start of a very colourful toe-up sock. The yarn is West Yorkshire Spinners Colourlab DK Sock in colourway Pop. A vibrant mix of turquoise and shades of yellow and orange. The rounded toe is on Addi CrasyTrio needles, my preferred needles for socks because they bend in the middle making them easy to hold when knitting a small circumference. A red bead stitch marker hangs on one side. The sock is resting on black cloth.

Wolly Wormhead's earflap hat Centuria and Ysolda Teagues Garter Stitch Mittens, both knit in West Yorkshire Spinners Colourlab DK Sock in colour Soul. The hat, flattened to show the earflap, lies on a wooden table next to a single mitten. Both are knit sideways in garter stitch, with short row shaping to create 3D items. The colourway is an overall speckled pattern in greys, blues, purples and pinks. A red sleeveless sweater modelled on a white dreeform against a cream background. The vest is bright red with an allover scrunchy texture and a rounded neckline. It is longline, almost a tunic. The pattern is Ink Vest by Fiona Hamilton-MacLaren and the yarn is West Yorkshire Spinners ColourLab DK in Crimson. An orange/red cowlette, Whitterick by Liz Corke, knit in Urth Monokrom DK. The cowl is displayed on a white dress form, standing in front of greenery in a conservatory. The cowl is loose and elegantly folded around the neck, with an interesting texture. The bottom few centimetres are an open pattern of holes. The cowl is triangular in shape, dipping down to a point in the centre front. Woolly Wormhead again, this time a cowl. Toph Compagne is a sideways garter stitch cowl, using short row shaping to create curving leaf shapes. I used KDD Shiehallion DK yarn in Faded Overalls, a dark blue, for the backgound, and then seven different colours of KDD Buachaille DK for the leaf shapes. The colours on the side shown are, from left to right, orange, mid blue, green, yellow, light grey, orange, red, pink, yellow, mid blue, orange, red, and green. The cowl is lying on a light coloured stone floor.

#ShowMeYourKnits 🧶 so this week's prompt, very appropriately, is knitting in public. Most of my public knitting is in doctor & dentist waiting rooms, where they're well used to me. Otherwise, most of my knitting takes place in my garden (weather permitting) surrounded by hens, so kind of public!
