I've been a proud member of CycleWR since its inception, so I was thrilled to take part in their Rides with Candidates initiative on Sunday morning. CycleWR volunteer Will and I toured Ward 5 cycling infrastructure (see the map for our route).

It’s groups like the Friends of Lakeside Park — who sorted over 16,000 pieces of recycling in park waste bins last year, or CycleWR who advocate for safer routes to travel, or the folks at Pollinator Roadsides who plant pollinator gardens along Regional Roads, that embody Earth Day all year 🌎

Separated bike lanes on the improved roads would be great!

I commuted Waterloo to Floradale for by bike sharing roads with no shoulders with heavy vehicles at high speeds. Yuck, but the beautiful parts was the Trans Canada Trail to Health Valley Trail to to Three Bridges Rd #cyclewr
