If I were going to guess, ICE/DHS has notoriously sloppy data and with ::waves hands:: that data is even sloppier. Ian Roberts isn't exactly an uncommon name.

My guess is they merged two sets of data.

Isn’t taking down websites and removing data sets a bit like book burning? Only in the digital sense.

Too many people think the issue is "ai look bad" not the stolen data sets not the workers rights not the climate change and the fact that people CANNOT AFFORD TO TURN ON THEIR HEAT because they're subsidizing data centers, let alone the misinformation and fascism

The creepy billionaires at the inauguration live on data, and Trump’s Musk-rats just got access to huge federal data sets. Watch out for the Great Thievery to go after your data. In a battle between your privacy and their profit, who likely wins?

Pretty much all of my novels are in these data sets, and I certainly wouldn't mind getting several million in damages. I even have a charitable foundation I could put that money into.
Open AI’s valuation is at $400 billion. They used about 190,000 books to train their plagiarism bot. Randomly saying 25% of their value comes from that stolen dataset, I think they owe the authors about $526,000 per stolen book.

Musk and his staffers are weaponizing federal data to remove immigrants from housing and jobs. This sets a dangerous precedent—one that won’t stop here. The information they’ve collected will soon be used against all of us.

The data sets people like Cofnas rely on are demonstrably refuted and superseded by far more rigorous data. They use these false data sets *because* the data is false. There is no other way for them to provide the simulacra of rigour they pretend to have. They know it is lies. It is anti-scholarship

Trump is deleting and altering data sets. That’s scary.

Also, many GAI systems do continuous scraping to expand their data sets and training. Meaning the painful details of your life and mental health revealed here could be PERMANENTLY INCORPORATED INTO MASSIVE DATA SETS. It’s a huge violation.
