「はい、ええ、また、玲とそちらにも伺います」
スマホの通話を切って、ふーと大きく息を吐く。電話とはいえ、やはりまだ緊張する。
「峻さん、お母さん何てー？」
洗い物を終えた玲がひょっこりと顔を出す。
「母の日のプレゼントが届いたお礼だと」
今年は母の日のプレゼントとして玲の母親に玲と一緒に選んだカーネーションとスカーフを贈った。母の日なんて縁が無いと思っていたのにこんな日が来るなんて。
「ふふ、峻さんとお母さんが電話してるなんて変な感じ！後でおばあちゃんにも電話しましょ！」
母の日だからと笑う玲に改めて家族になるとはこういうことかと少しくすぐったい気持ちになった。
