Saturday I played DBMM with my EIR against Buyids. Or rather I sat and watched them get demolished.

In spring 2021, it was finally accomplished: My DBMM army "Seleucid" (Book II/19) was fully painted by me! It consists of the complete list with nearly all variants. I started in early 2019, the entire project took almost two and a half years. The figures are from Essex. #dbmm #15mm #wargaming

I am supplementing my DBMM army "Late Imperial Roman" with elements that are not included in the official army list. The self-built ensemble shown here is a "Labarum," a late antique banner standard that, according to the historian Eusebius, was introduced by Constantine. #dbmm #15mm #wargaming

My late Carthaginian DBMM army, Book II/32. It is the army of the Punic Wars and the great Hannibal. The 15mm figures are from Essex Miniatures and were painted according to my specifications by Paintingservice Fernando. The elephants, camp, and generals were painted by me. #dbmm #15mm #wargaming

This is my new Carolingian-Frankish army from the time of Charlemagne (768-814 AD). It is based on the DBMM army book III/28. The figures are 15mm figures from the Italian manufacturer Baueda. They were painted by the painting service Fernando according to my specifications. #dbmm #15mm #wargaming

My Early Byzantine DBMM army (Book III/4) represents the Eastern Roman troops from the end of the Western empire to the nomination of Emperor Maurice, who implemented military reforms that significantly changed the army. I bought the figures on eBay and rebased them. #dbmm #15mm #wargaming

"Age of Hannibal" has become my favorite rule set for ancient battles. I play it with my 15mm DBMM armies. For this, I combine two DBMM bases into one AoH base for the infantry. Since my DBMM bases are magnetized, I can easily attach metal plates underneath. #ageofhannibal #littlewarstv #wargaming

i think part of the problem with these new Star Treks is they have too much money.

Star Trek is a space western, you want small sets you reuse, a local university, a nearby quarry, and a lot of talking.

look at how small the Defiant's bridge is in DS9 www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBmm...

Because Venice is my favorite city, I have a late medieval DBMM army "Italian Condotta: Venetian" (Book IV/61). The Venetians were the first army I painted myself. The 15mm figures are from the Italian manufacturer Mirliton, and the flags are from "Pete's Flags". #dbmm #venice #15mm #wargaming

Some figures for my Order of Saint John 1522 DBMM army. The Foundry Halberdiers (mercenary) were a test batch that I decided were too red so the Wargames Atlantic crossbowmen (mercenary) were painted more random.

Renovations completed on my DBMM built up area fortified on a difficult hill. BUAf for short. Also organised a fourth command to fit inside it.

My Bronze Age, early Mycenaean DBMM army, whose main troop types are chariots and spearmen. It is almost the complete list (Book I/18). The figures were painted according to my specifications by Paintingservice Fernando. The army consists of 15mm figures by Museum Miniatures. #dbmm #15mm #wargaming

More updating of old terrain. The hedge rows were given me by a club mate. He had used nails to hold the sponge which went rusty and were dangerous. I ripped them out and used the excess sponge to bulk out some trees. The trees got some flock on the sponge and bases. The trees are for DBMM.

I played DBMM with my EIR Romans on Saturday. Sadly it did not go well as my army broke before the Ancient Brits were even slightly bothered.

Two games of DBMM. Sassanids verses Turgesh and Ghurids verses Buyids. I don’t know what they are either as my Ancient knowledge is limited to Romans and Britons.
