1/4 Hosted our first-ever demo table at the Rhein Main Multiversum! Along with Maria & Sebastian, we proudly presented our project STRAIGHT OUTTA NIDA. After months of building - and gluing 10000+ tiny tiles by hand - we finally brought it to life. #wargaming #gangsofrome #rheinmainmultiversum #nida

1/2 Next weekend (12–13 September 2026), the "Multiversum" tabletop convention, organised by the Tabletop Club Rhein-Main, will take place in Nidderau, not far from Frankfurt am Main. #wargaming #multiversum #tabletopconvention

This is my new Carolingian-Frankish army from the time of Charlemagne (768-814 AD). It is based on the DBMM army book III/28. The figures are 15mm figures from the Italian manufacturer Baueda. They were painted by the painting service Fernando according to my specifications. #dbmm #15mm #wargaming

I am once again begging Hollywood to stop using the Greek alphabet for an Ancient World movie, if they can't afford to even throw a couple of quid at anyone with an inkling of the language.

Unless they really think audiences are dying to see THS THDPSSSSPS

I’ve completed painting two units of Archers for my bsky.app/profile/www.... Carolingian warband for the tabletop ruleset "Lion Rampant". Next comes the painting of one unit of Light Infantry. The figures are from the Greek manufacturer Studio Historia. #wargaming #28mm #lionrampant #charlemagne

For the old town festival in Neu-Isenburg (not far from Frankfurt am Main), I was delighted to present my Frankfurt militia for Lion Rampant, consisting of Perry Miniatures, alongside some historical information in the music room of the Town Museum. #neuisenburg #wargaming #lionrampant #28mm

Today and yesterday, there were gladiator fights by www.gladiatorenschule-berlin.rocks at the "Saalburg" Roman fort, not far from Frankfurt am Main. #saalburg #gladiator

1/2 A small feud was carried out between the people of Frankfurt and those of Kronberg at the Rhein-Main tabletop club using the Lion Rampant rule set. The feud was set in the year 1388, and its cause, as is often the case, has long been lost in the mists of history... #lionrampant #28mm #wargaming

1/3 A 15mm clash of "By Fire and Sword, 2nd Edition": My Brandenburgers faced the Habsburgs in a fictional 1659 skirmish near Crossen. We played "Clash of Vanguards" at 40/41 points. A rare historical match-up, but a perfect tactical test on the tabletop! #wargaming #byfireandsword #bfas #15mm

A brief eagle's flight over my Roman army in 2mm for the excellent rule set "Strength & Honour". The army is dated around the early to mid-imperial period, roughly from Augustus to 200 AD. The "figures" are from Antonine Miniatures. #strengthandhonour #2mm #wargaming

1/6 I'm proud to present my new 15mm Brandenburg-Prussian army for "By Fire and Sword"! Under the "Great Elector" Friedrich Wilhelm, this force transformed from a war-torn mess into a professional standing army. A true milestone in military history. #wargaming #byfireandsword #bfas #15mm

My late Carthaginian DBMM army, Book II/32. It is the army of the Punic Wars and the great Hannibal. The 15mm figures are from Essex Miniatures and were painted according to my specifications by Paintingservice Fernando. The elephants, camp, and generals were painted by me. #dbmm #15mm #wargaming

1/3 Visited the "Hamburger Tactica" today, as I do every year at the end of February. It's the largest tabletop convention in Germany, with great presentations. #tactica #hamburg #wargaming

The first two units Heavy Infantry for my bsky.app/profile/www.... Carolingian warband for the tabletop ruleset "Lion Rampant" are fully painted by me! 1/3 In the current Slingshot magazine, issue 362, there is a battle report titled "An exciting battle between the classic arch-rivals, Carthage and Rome," using the Age of Hannibal ruleset, written by me. #ageofhannibal #littlewarstv #wargaming #15mm

"[H]e felt that he had never seen a sight more fearful." Plutarch, The Life of Aemilius, 19. The phalangites in the midst of my Seleucid 15mm army. On the far left, you can see the comrades from the elite Argyraspides ("Silver Shields"). #dbmm #seleucids #15mm #wargaming

"Age of Hannibal" has become my favorite rule set for ancient battles. I play it with my 15mm DBMM armies. For this, I combine two DBMM bases into one AoH base for the infantry. Since my DBMM bases are magnetized, I can easily attach metal plates underneath. #ageofhannibal #littlewarstv #wargaming

1/4 Some impressions from the skirmish outside the gates of the town of Marköbel, near Frankfurt (bsky.app/profile/www....). It took place in March 2024 using the "Lion Rampant" ruleset with 28mm figures. The year is 1388. #lionrampant #28mm #wargaming
1/3 In March 2024, a late medieval skirmish was played using the "Lion Rampant" ruleset with 28mm figures, located right in front of the city gate of Marköbel (near Frankfurt). The year was 1388. The game took place at the Tabletop Club Rhein-Main. #lionrampant #28mm #wargaming

I printed my terrain for the excellent Tabletop wargaming rule set "Strength & Honour" with a 3D printer - except for these fields, which I crafted myself from fabric scraps, pipe cleaners, and Greenstuff. #strengthandhonour #2mm #wargaming

Because Venice is my favorite city, I have a late medieval DBMM army "Italian Condotta: Venetian" (Book IV/61). The Venetians were the first army I painted myself. The 15mm figures are from the Italian manufacturer Mirliton, and the flags are from "Pete's Flags". #dbmm #venice #15mm #wargaming

1/3 At the end of the year 🎄 I am starting a new project for the tabletop ruleset "Lion Rampant": a Carolingian warband in 28 mm from the era of Charlemagne, specifically the Saxon Wars from roughly 772 to 804. #lionrampant #charlemagne #wargaming

Finished "Congress of Vienna" with three mates on Sunday. It was a tight diplomatic and military struggle: the Allies didn't take Paris, but France ended up last. I was second-to-last with Russia - hard to play and resource-starved. The game is tremendous fun! #boardgames #gmtgames #congressofvienna

I am supplementing my DBMM army "Late Imperial Roman" with elements that are not included in the official army list. The self-built ensemble shown here is a "Labarum," a late antique banner standard that, according to the historian Eusebius, was introduced by Constantine. #dbmm #15mm #wargaming

1/2 In May 2025 I played Romans vs Carthaginians with my gaming mate Jan at the Rhein-Main Tabletop Club, using the "Age of Hannibal" ruleset. I commanded the Romans, he led the Carthaginians. Each army consisted of 1200 points and was made up of 15mm figures. #ageofhannibal #littlewarstv #wargaming

1/8 I always prepare my orders for Paintingservice Fernando in Sri Lanka meticulously. The more precisely one describes how the figures should be painted, the more accurate the result will be! That's why I put a lot of effort into it and paint one figure of each type myself, as reference. #wargaming
