I’m going to name a harsh truth
Everything the GOP and this regime is doing is reducing our life expectancy and increasing death rates.
We have to face this.
We have to be prepared to fight and resist this

there's a sort of flip of respectability... where deathworkers are usually outcasts or otherwise untouchable, they're closer here to nobility. with such an embrace of the reality of death and acceptance of it, there'd be an increase in ways of receiving it...

Black folk. We have elders. They're aging and dying, and they want deathworkers. Black deathworkers, to be specific. But they don't identify or articulate the need until too late, and there are too few of us to go around.

that said, she does discuss *everything* related to death and deathworkers, which means also covering infant and child loss, and i cried at least twice during it. but it was always with care and a lot of consideration and never felt ghoulish
