Turn off tap, then mop.

Decarbon-tech's early high grift motivation seems less visible now.

I am for an immediate 75% decarbon-ation of the global economy. Trump isn't. The US isn't the sole toxic influence in the world, he's just the most brazen.

Like with everything else I've learned looking into heating modernization here there're solutions - but none are simple. Getting me back to "EV / L2 charger is probably more feasible / realistic for decarbon here".
heating may wait until a new high efficiency propane boilers lifespan is up.

“In a letter opposing the proposal for a right to cooling in LA, [landlords] argued that ‘there are many other active cooling technologies that are far more environmentally friendly than AC,’ pointing instead to ‘tree canopies, solar shades, & blackout curtains’”

Isometric Signs Tongao Greenchar, Vastwing Energy, and DeCarbon Tech to Certify First Chinese Carbon Removals
Isometric has partnered with Chinese project developers Tongao Greenchar, Vastwing Energy, and DeCarbon Tech to certify carbon dioxide removal projects. The agreement applies rigorous digital verification protocols to Chinese biochar operations, connecting domestic biomass sequestration potential with global credit buyers.

But theres no point 'suggesting' stuff you cant implement. The govt is shooting all its own feet. Then you start releasing well thought out, long term decarbon policies that will positively land in the wake of govt mess. Job is to change the govt Nov,Not to interrupt govt failure in real time.

I hope that a few more climate action advocates will start to help share pioneering research on how biochar can be a sustainable solution to the dual crises of plastic pollution and wastewater management while also accomplishing Carbon Dioxide Removal simultaneously.

Here's what's really frustrating about all of this:

The data center boom should be the perfect opportunity for progressives to loudly push for MASSIVE green energy grid expansion. They go hand in hand. Some companies are literally doing this on their own.

It's a huge missed opportunity to decarbon
It’s not true, though: if you ask people why they oppose data centers, it’s overwhelmingly these kinds of things about water use and “negative effects on the community” driving it. Essentially, a lot of NIMBYish fears, some grounded in fact, many not.

Without bus cuts, there would've been 395 million more bus miles in England in 2023, bringing environmental, social & economic benefits 🚍

Putting buses into the hands of local leaders is the first step to unlocking their potential - as Greater Manchester is demonstrating 👏

Future voting patterns show more younger progressive people who want to decarbon.
That includes a hell of a lot of young farmers.
The Nat's are on a hiding to nowhere. I hope.
