fun flight attendant fact: FAs are paid from when the plane doors close to when it opens again, meaning pre-flight prep, boarding/deplaning travellers, and cleaning up after you when you leave is unpaid work

Solidarity with Air Canada flight attendants, on strike as of 9 hrs ago. I'm among the many waiting for someone to push the button to cancel their flight to trigger refund/rebooking, but I'm not among the many hoping AC can rebook them (I booked a backup as we want to be sure of getting there.)

Minnesota Wild players deplaning like 500 feet from people in shackles being stuffed into ICE flights:
17 detainees were loaded on yesterday's ICE Air flight at MSP.
A few of the shackled people loaded at 1:00 pm here in Minnesota arrived in El Paso around 8:00 pm.
The local ERO drivers appeared to be fan-girling a bit, watching the Minnesota Wild, who were also at Signature, flown in by Delta.

Sooknanan then announces that she wants to take a 10 minute recess so that Ensign can go talk to DHS. She wants to know whether they are going to be deplaning the children and returning them to custody and what they expect to happen. Mr. Ensign, can you do that?
