#dividing
This little trick that Jesse Hamm taught me years ago has saved me lots of time as a comics penciller, so why not share it here?

That’s what those illegal orders are about.

"And you'd divide it up".

He means Ukraine.

Trump has been talking with Putin about dividing up Ukraine.
Trump on Putin: "We'd have a good talk, and it seemed on let's say three occasions that we were gonna have a ceasefire and maybe peace and you'd divide it up and you'd do whatever you have to do to get to the end. And all of the sudden missiles are flying into Kyiv."

the fundamental dividing line in society is bedtime // no bedtime
I think the left/right/liberal/centrist distinction is a lot less useful at this point than the "wants to be an adult member of society" vs "fuck you mom" divide.
Take: the Leo Frank stuff is a much worse acceleration of left-wing people on Twitter deciding that the word “r-tard” was an acceptable statement to call someone again. There’s a bizarre belief that acting like a neo-Nazi or an alt-righter is liberating in some way way.

the way it works is that if i say, "i'm a black american," sam alito thinks that is "dividing people up by race." but if someone says, "get that jigaboo out of my country," alito thinks, "looks like nothing to me"
Alito authoring opinion saying fixing a racial gerrymander is also racist and then musing, 2 hours later, during oral argument about Trump's racist effort to end humanitarian protections against deportation for Haitians, about how he doesn't like dividing up people by race

I loathe this man so much

Farage increasingly providing the kind of dividing lines which will spark cheers in No.10. 'Vote for us to continue homelessness'.
I just knew we'd get this bollocks.

Farage - like the Telegraph- doesn't want progress or anything to improve he just wants Britain to sit in a miserable slump in which he can holler constantly about "migrants" and drink pints in slow motion videos with people who pine for WW2.

honestly the only Millennial / Gen Z dividing point that matters to me is this: do you remember how things were pre-9/11? and, crucially, how everyone lost their minds on and after 9/11? If so, you're a millennial or older.

This is, in all seriousness, the biggest Millennial/Gen Z dividing line: whether your first social network pre- or post-dates facebook.
and honestly i’m still very much a forum poster at heart
