For #schiffssamstag here's Orange Friendship, a Singapore-flagged bulk carrier sitting in Gatun Lake in 2023 with us as we both await clearance to transit the Agua Clara locks out of the Panama Canal and through to the Atlantic side.

Brit-land does get too much drizzle and grey skies but doesn’t get hurricanes, seldom gets major floods, seldom gets major wildfires, seldom gets prolonged droughts. We potter along with few extremes unlike the USA. Of course with climate change, it’s even starting to affect here.

Some drizzle is possible this morning along the south coast but will give way to sun and cloud this afternoon; most other areas of the Island will see mostly sunny skies. Highs today will range from 20 to 27. Some rain is expected in western Labrador, with 5 to 10 mm expected in Labrador City. 2 mm is on the way to Churchill Falls. Elsewhere, conditions will be fair across the Big Land. Highs from 14 to 27 are expected.

Scattered showers this morning taper off by late morning, just a few hundredths of rain. Highs land in the upper 70s to low 80s, close to normal, with winds swinging from south to north as high pressure moves in. Decent day to be outside once the drizzle quits.

That's a big win! To get my dog to take a pill, I have to put it in a Pill Pocket, then smother it with peanut butter, then wrap it up in a slice of cheese, and finally drizzle it with honey. Only thing that works (and took much trial & error to finally land upon)
