Dunseverick Castle yesterday.
While the site may have been occupied since the Iron Age, a #castle has existed since the 5th century (visited by St Patrick at that time). The castle was destroyed by Cromwellian troops in the 1650's. Never rebuilt, only the ruins of the gatelodge remain.
