2012 I was nursing my mum, she had lung cancer which had spread to her liver and brain, she had 6 brain tumors and didn't know who I was anymore. 2 weeks after they told us it was terminal she got a letter from DWP saying she was found "fit for work"

At some point @tejparikh.ft.com should stop digging. The argument that "I did it this way because I had the DWP £ real spend data series and I couldn't be bothered to go to the ONS site to download the £ real GDP one" is not very convincing...

No conspiracy. Dwp has the full historic data in real terms and i wanted a chart to make clear how big pensions were and to highlight recent pip growth (if anything it shows how small it is)
