I think that most human dysfunction revolves around some form of exclusion. Fascism would be no exception.

There are more “DESPITE” members of religious congregations than most people would assume. It is both encouraging to see many of them embrace progressive values and inclusivity, but also heartbreaking to see others proudly riot for a return to dysfunction, exclusion, racism, and neglect.

I struggle with the community for the same reason. There is so much untreated trauma and personality dysfunction. I frequently see “if you don’t think, believe, act like I do, you are cancelled” which leads to tribalism and exclusion. It makes it hard to maintain long standing bonds with people.
