#dysthemia
This is the closest I've come to 5k as yet. I feel absolutely triumphant, judging from the fact I've been almost bedridden due to my dysthemia a year ago.

Dysthemia Potoooooooo-Chippy
I can’t decide between Suicidal Smoothie and Panic Attack Tea. Not sure either truly counts as an eatable but I would absolutely bet $5 on either

Dysthemia is a BITCH, mates.

But we deal.

We deal.

First #run after finishing #C25k. I'm still far from 5k, but I can manage 30 min, which is like a miracle, after getting started from less than zero due to my dysthemia. 💫
Today, I managed pacing under 10min. for the very first time. Yay!

Content Warning ⚠️: Ideation and self harm.

Back in 2018, author Baek Se-hee released a book called "I Want to Die, but I Also Want to Eat Tteokbokki"

The book was the transcription of a series of conversations with her psychiatrist as she worked on navigating dysthemia and other challenges.

Sometimes I remember I'm technically on low dose antidepressants, but not for depression even though I have diagnosed chronic depression (dysthemia) and I think that's kinda funny 😅

Recently I drew silly little comics because of my art block+ dysthemia, I'll reupload them first before my other super detailed eyesore drawings #comic #artmeme #oc

they thought mine was dysthemia for years

lo and behold the antipsychotics made me MORE insane and the mood stabilizer helped

my mother had it so im 0% surprised! but it cam be jarring to have the same diagnosis as someone who fucked you up big time

I applaud your courage. I was abused as a child, in different ways than you, and it because it was never addressed I spent my teens and 20s in a state of dysthemia until I finally sought help because I couldn't bear to live like that anymore.

not because I don't suffer but because I don't think the way I suffer needs to be pathologised. I may overreact to some things, sure, but largely my "dysthemia" is a natural reaction to the world being a piece of shit to me and the people I love. The materialist (antipsychiatric) angle holds far

I had a weight loss surge (side effect for me), and it broke a blood sugar barrier that brought my a1c down to normal levels. I suffer from dysthemia, but it hasnt triggered anything there. I dont feel like alcohol, and I pretty much just have lunch and dinner. Might be worth looking into.

I've never enjoyed fiction about bad things happening to someone because that happens enough in the real world and my experience with dysthemia has made me all too familiar with suffering. Seeing stories of people healing and growing in the aftermath is more powerful to me.

Self-concealed within a dark room (2025) - 10/10

Under the crushing weight of dysthemia, existence becomes a sensory deprivation chamber.

The Global Dysthemia Series (2023-2024) - 9/10

A profound melancholy is something that feels fundamental to every gen-z person that I've known. Being lied to our whole lives about how the future will be bright and the world will be our oyster only for it to be a rotten, stagnating carcass.

Me too, I am 65 and first sectioned at 18. Shrinks tell me I have Dysthemia whi h is great except nobody knows what it means. Nobody except fellow sufferers can understand how I really feel, including doctors. Fuck the world, fuck they're normal safe narrow minded lives.

The peanut gallery is a whole other thing. Not so much narrative as an emotional thumb that typically pushes. Feeds into my dysthemia (long-term low-grade depression), but includes one member I purposely added to call BS on certain thought patterns, intended to bust into negative thought cycles.

....the snow.

I don't really like snow for some reason. I like white but I don't like how depressing white looks like in snowy places. I have seasonal depression (with the dysthemia/pdd) so they go together.

Monkey diagnosed today with OCD--"operatic cognitive dysthemia"--and he's home celebrating..."I'm not crazy after all!" he was heard to say.
