The senses of animals are really incredible and we still have so much to understand. I really learned a lot from this book! However, it was for me a little bit too long, therefore I give 4 out of 5 stars 📚 #BookSky #Reading #Animals #Nature #edyong

Next book finished (if you think I'm doing well with reading books this month, just don't ask about how many I've bought). @edyong209.bsky.social's An Immense World. I loved that every time I opened it, my mind was blown. Complex science made accessible and entertaining. And I loved the footnotes!

Earth teems with sights and textures, sounds and vibrations, smells and tastes, electric and magnetic fields. But every animal can only tap into a small fraction of reality's fullness.

Finished reading #edyong 's pop science book about the sensory worlds of animals. Full of spectacular animal facts and engagingly and thoughtfully written, but he is perhaps a little too fond of interrupting himself with asides and footnotes. Also, enjoy this […]

@edyong reflects on #journalism, and what he’s learned from listening to the experts on #LongCovid: the ones who experience it.
