#electricity—enough
Just think - if one million people turned off their wifi for one hour it would save enough electricity to run one ChatGPT data center for ten seconds

An AI datacenter devours enough water and electricity for a whole city of people each day.

A human artist only takes up as much electricity and water as any single human.

This is why, even if we settle copyrights and such, AI will always be immoral. Just pay a human.

There's a secret reason your electric bill is going up — and not enough people are talking about it.
The Secret Behind High Electricity Bills
Private utility companies like PG&E, Duke, and Exelon control electricity for nearly 70% of Americans — and they're usin

#Scotland is establishing itself as a premier global leader in #renewableenergy as its powerful wind turbines now generate enough clean electricity to potentially supply more than twice the nation’s entire current demand. www.enerdynamics.com/Energy-Curre... #ActOnClimate #ClimateActionNow

The US already devotes more than 40 million acres to growing corn for ethanol fuel production.

If only ~1/3 of that land were converted to solar PV, it could generate enough electricity to cover the entire country's electricity needs.

Parking lots. In America, we have LOTS of those. Putting solar over those would probably generate enough electricity, we could quit oil in one huge category and go to electric vehicles.
Just thinking outloud. 🤔

I still can't believe I had enough electricity to finish this XD

"The developers behind the project had said it was on track to produce enough electricity for more than 350,000 homes in Rhode Island and Connecticut by next spring."
Breaking News: The Trump administration ordered construction to stop on a $4 billion wind farm off the coast of Rhode Island that has already mostly been built.

Greetings from morning Kyiv.
It’s snowing.
Generators sing, as emergency outages continue.
We had enough electricity to charge everything.

Have a lovely Sunday. Let’s live this life.

It's not enough that they pay half the price that households pay for electricity. Now they're going to get cut price gas too!

It's time we stopped pandering to Big Tech and their data centres which create no jobs, and use our electricity, water and gas. No more data centres!

The obvious end point is an electricity grid that has enough storage on it, in enough places, that the timing of energy generation basically becomes irrelevant.

Hey potential #SpaceX investors - choose wisely.

A $1.77T investment in solar would produce enough electricity for the ENTIRE continental United States

Or we could launch a few missiles

Which has the better ROI?

Ontario is cutting off electricity exports to the U.S. in response to Trump's tariffs.

This is a huge problem as U.S. struggles to get enough reliable electricity.

Even bigger when you consider that Ontario is much greener than neighboring U.S. grids

Bigger still if Quebec follows suit.

this would theoretically provide power long enough to play the monorail episode of The Simpsons, which is all we really need electricity to do these days anyway

Evolved Chimp

You can carry it onto a commercial flight as luggage. You set it down in moving water. And immediately, it generates enough electricity to power a dozen homes for five years.

Data centres now consume 23% of Ireland's electricity, with demand set to rise even further.

That means higher bills, greater pressure on our energy security and growing risks to our climate targets.

How many data centres are enough?

Just took three fluffy blankets out of the tumble dryer and now I'm harbouring enough static electricity to take out the power grid
