#epsionage
Things like this are why you get pesky questions when you undergo certain security clearnaces #notjustchina. Also why the security agencies have for years mentioned things like insider threat, foreign interference, epsionage etc. One caveat though: security agencies don't have enforcement powers.

First Iceland Noir panel of the day was @robwhart.bsky.social, @timglisterbooks.bsky.social and Matt Furtek discussing their spy thrillers with @jackycnoir64.bsky.social. I must admit I'm not normally a reader of epsionage, I went as I loved The Warehouse, but maybe I should be as they sounded fab!

Great article. Loads of brilliant epsionage novels being published too 📚
Spy books are on trend! How very timely for me.

'From Netflix mega-hit The Night Agent to Apple TV+'s beloved Slow Horses, tales of secret agents and spies are becoming ever more popular. That's because they resonate with the times.'

Also a great hook for any number of tabletop RPGs: Epsionage, Call of Cthulhu, Urban fantasy....

The casting for Master and Commander was superb, IMHO.

My only regret is that the script's collection of pieces from Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey/Maturin books did not allow us to see Bettany's portrayal of Maturin's work in epsionage during the Napoleonic Wars.

Bettany would have made a great spy!

Cry of Despair was a wild ride. Very Helliam/Willry coded but imagine it crossed with a bland company epsionage drama. Tbf thats probably how they would both be shipped with Edwin lmao

I hc that - similarly to all other fields - there are multiple roads that lead to the mastery of epsionage, and that it was actually Thancred’s innate skill and desperation to connect with others that lead his talents to be seduction-based. It’s what he wanted most, and thus what he would most excel

it’s SO good. left-wing epsionage heavy on the darkness of spook work is a concept i adore so much and it executes it so, so well. i’m sad that the people who worked on it won’t get the love they deserve just because the publisher did shady shit. you can feel how much love was put into the game.

I really want to know why Southampton didn't just deny any involvement? Boro's training pitch is directly opposite a public car park, if this was serious corporate-level epsionage they wouldn't send a clown in a parka with a giant iPhone? None of it makes any sense, it all feels so amateurish

This was based on a board game - out of print now I think - based around epsionage and similar to chess; think there are still copies on eBay

I have... mixed feelings on the novel's attempt to flesh out the Tomed incident and make it a black ops secret epsionage type thing set up by Starfleet.

It feels part of the broader DS9 era attempt to dirty up the Federation which at its worst is just real 90s teenage edgelord stuff.
