Hungary offers a glimpse at a future that offers something other than ethnologies of diner patrons
Perhaps Magyar's most important promise, and the one that certainly resonates with voters: "never again a country without consequences!"

The crowd chants: "To prison! To prison!" [with the corrupt officials of the outgoing government]

I've written ethnologies about parades around the world.
They DEFINITELY don't understand what a parade should be.

chipping in here to mention, in case you don’t have it, @vtroitran.bsky.social’s recent article - might be /too/ recent in focus but the bibliography will be helpful if nothing else. Some neat stuff coming from UQAM, Laval, etc.! www.erudit.org/en/journals/...

I'm a writer of sci-fi and ethnologies. I don't like editing. So I have two books already with ISBNs listed with the Library of Congress that I haven't released yet. How do y'all conquer editor's block?

I got massively burnt out after my MFA in creative writing, mostly writing about Vietnam, the war, and the indigenous peoples. I've read Tim O'Brien, Karl Marlantes, Robert Olen Butler, Viet Thanh Nguyen...and even ethnologies from people like Dr. Hickey etc. I'm working on a novel about my dad's life as an indigenous person during the Vietnam war currently, but working for publishing companies for years dulled my reading brain. Anyone have any recommendations for historical fiction and/or genre fiction? I mention genre fiction because I see historical fiction as world building as well. My favorite works are The Things
