I saw an enlightening Instagram video with a 17th century person with the surname, Poope. Of course this lead to my interest in the evolution of the word.

the evolution of pucca and garu as "silent protagonists" is so fascinating to me, because they... aren't, technically? and it bugs that it's been taken as gospel for decades when that wasn't the original intent

Not that I'm the label police or anything, but I think there's also some hyperatomization at play (plus the natural evolution of complexity)

Bisous

Faster, deadlier Russian drones shift warfare into horrifying new phase - ABC News & Headlines
A new level of horror is unfolding over the skies of Ukraine. Waves of new jet-powered Russian drones are screaming towards cities at hundreds of kilometres per hour, slamming into bridges and buildings in broad daylight. They fly faster, higher and are harder to shoot down than previous models, and Ukraine's defences are struggling to keep up. The weapons are the latest evolution of cheap, one-way attack drones used extensively throughout the war. Until now, the propeller-driven Geran-2 has been Russia's main weapon of choice for mass long-range drone attacks. Based on the Iranian-designed Shahed-136 with its distinctive 3.5-metre triangular frame, the drones travel at about 185km/h. Carrying a 50kg warhead behind an aerodynamic nose, they dive at targets and explode on impact in kamikaze-style strikes. Ukraine pioneered defences against propeller-style drones which worked against 90 per cent of the older Shahed technology. So, Russia responded with jet power. The original Geran-4 has a Chinese-made turbojet engine, allowing it to travel nearly three times faster than its predecessors. The airframe has been reinforced to carry explosives nearly double the weight and withstand the engine's power. The new Geran-5 blurs the lines between drone and cruise missile. It is also jet-powered,...

There seems to be a corporate level shift in the industry to frame AI as an inevitable evolution of game development, and a lot of the smart folks seem to be agreeing, some reluctantly and some not.

Within 2 years AI will most likely be a critical part of the big engine development workflows

Samsung May Expand the Galaxy Z Fold 9 Lineup With a Plus or FE Model in 2027 + Video
Introduction: Samsung Could Be Preparing a Bigger Foldable Strategy Samsung may be preparing its next major evolution in foldable smartphones. Following the reported success of the Galaxy Z Fold 8, the company is rumored to be exploring an expanded Galaxy Z Fold 9 lineup for 2027. Instead of offering customers a single flagship book-style foldable, Samsung could introduce a second variant designed either for users who want a larger device or buyers looking for a more affordable entry point.

Favorite Conan Monster

Conan is the pinnacle of evolution since he was created in the early 20th century when the Übermensch was in vogue. Made to surpass ordinary humans, he even embodies his own value system. This sort of character needs formidable opponents, like apes!

The music in this video has an undeniable hook.

That the subject matter is skewering the evolution of AI coding in the workplace while being fully AI generated is inception* level irony.

The groove had my head bopping, while the the lyrics had my head nodding.
