2/ Do I believe the basics of the CNN story: that a chatbot-generated faulty intel report sparked specific planning to intercept a Chinese ship? Yes, plausibly. But it's unclear how last-minute the abort was, &only one of the sources claim that it was as hairtrigger a situation as you're framing it.
