Four months after it was promised, we finally have the government's transport investment plan between now and 2030. It's bad. Roads are in, public transport is out. A lot of public transport projects being put on the long-finger to make funding available for new roads.

The only innovative things I remember an FFFG govt doing, are the plastic bag charge, and banning indoor smoking.

FFFG Voters looked at homeless figures and said this is within the acceptable range of what I will tolerate. These figures will go up as there is no incentive for FFFG to arrest the rise in figures cos they now know their voters will vote for them regardless of how big the numbers get.

Given the state of the world it’s entirely unsurprising that Irish voters are clinging to the status quo but it’s a hugely depressing prospect, the thought of living under FFFG until I die.
