#framebuffer
here's a framebuffer graphics demo (this has no practical purpose and I can't prove I'm not just like, playing a youtube video or something)

Intel's Arc B580 graphics card - believe the hype. $250 gets you excellent performance with a luxurious 12GB of framebuffer memory. Here's our video review: youtu.be/yKMigkGU8vI

I may not have kernel code exec but at least I have framebuffer graphics rendering

its crazy what u can achieve with like one displacement map on the framebuffer uvs

was working on the dialogue choice picker in You Have Died and i realized because of the way transitions work i could just make the choice picker's background a copy of the previous framebuffer in order to have the dialogue prompt on screen for free

Last year I built this 23BPP framebuffer with an 8BPP backing store. It uses spatial dithering with the precision of the color channels encoded in the dither. The “decode” is edge aware smoothing. It is a reimplementation of HP Color Recovery - I will eventually release it with a full nonAI writeup.

what's the easiest way to get a window and a framebuffer going in C?

Imagine if you could run #raylib with no need for an OS, just a simple memory buffer. Now you can. 🤯

NEW backend: PLATFORM_MEMORY, full 2d/3d rendering to a memory framebuffer, only libc required! 🚀

All raylib functionality in ~200KB! Future is now! 🥳

** Sega MD 3D Engine Update 4 **
Arwing from StarFox been modelled.
This is using a linear framebuffer (FB) with CPU blitting.
Just converted it to non linear buffer with DMA and both versions are running about 20 % faster than shown due to optimisations.
Next step, larger FB and some objects !

This is how you're supposed to write safety comments, right?

So I guess DLSS is operating on the framebuffer image the game is using, which... would be the output of the previous frame that DLSS already processed. Hence, hallucinatory death spiral.

That's not to say DLSS 5 isn't terrible. It definitely is.

oh! thank you nvidia! corrupted framebuffer is really what i needed today
March 26, 2026 at 6:36 PM
why does the framebuffer need to be rotated?

because the fucking top screen on the 3DS is physically rotated 90°. every single 3DS game rotates rendering by 90°

this is a fork of another osdev project called mangOS which lets me skip implementing booting from limine and basic console/framebuffer output

yes directly manipulating the framebuffer is going really well for me, why do you ask? #playdate #gamedev

watching anime in the framebuffer is pedophile behavior
