As I wrote the other day when this was first reported by Task & Purpose, we should consider this a form of fratricide. Specially a form of information and influence fratricide directed primarily at our own citizenry and secondarily at everyone else in the world.
Arlington National Cemetery has scrubbed information about prominent Black, Hispanic and female service members and topics such as the Civil War from its website, part of an effort across the Defense Department to remove all references to diversity, equity and inclusion from its online presence.

I understand that "Dems in disarray" has a rhythm that "GOP in disarray" doesn't.
But in 40+ years there's been no Dem-disarray remotely comparable to Trump/Musk/Leo/etc fratricide.
Has there been even *one* "GOP in disarray" big headline?
Maybe I've missed it.
But in 40+ years there's been no Dem-disarray remotely comparable to Trump/Musk/Leo/etc fratricide.

There certainly will be arguments. But you can bet fury we saw directed yesterday at the Left will be significantly muted if Kirk’s death was fratricide—a domestic terrorist murder within the family.

The mundane explanation is that this is a cascading failure, with load shed from one taking down the next etc. The more "fun" explanation is that a fifth AI is out there committing fratricide.

And every effort the military has made to combat racism, antisemitism, Islamophobia, homophobia, etc. What Hegseth is doing is setting the conditions for fratricide-usually non-lethal, but sometimes lethal-where the worst Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, & Marines are empowered to prey on each other. 3/
