For @GlennMicallef, ultimately, the success of the strategy lies in how it influences and fuses into future EU policies; at its heart is a commitment and promise to the needs of present and future generations.
@GlennMicallef warned that the cost of doing nothing will be high. Over the last 40 years, due to extreme weather events, the cost has been billions of euros, mostly in the last 4 years. Therefore, the key concept of the strategy is to create an intergenerational contract.
