Ram Your Way To My Heart, Nya! is a GMless flirt-based rpg for 2 players and 1d8 siege engines
Inadvisable tabletop RPG premise #137: short-form storygame about gay catgirls in love written in the High Gygaxian register of a late 70s Dungeons & Dragons clone. The mechanics for tracking emotional intimacy are very obviously adapted from a historical wargame's mechanics for besieging a castle.

GMless rpgs can build creative confidence and that is so good! They can be a soft on-ramp to GMing, or build confidence at better using the power you have in a GMless game.
But, many GMless games quietly assume everyone at the table is already competent GM and don't teach people how to do it.

GMless rpgs can build creative confidence and that is so good! They can be a soft on-ramp to GMing, or build confidence at better using the power you have in a GMless game.

YES. The number of students who have hacked GMless games…
Yes this last note is so important! Sometimes a well GMd session is helpful for new players but pick-up-and-play oneshots, in my experience, open even very inexperienced players up to the possibility of *making* a game
I remain convinced that 1-shot, pick-up (often GMless) RPGs remain one of the most accessible entry points into our medium. They do so much -- you can just hand to people, for them to try out on their own, like a board game. And after you play a few of them, you know enough to design your own.
