I am watching colleagues' classrooms turn into Dead Internet versions of school. Teachers use AI to create lessons which assign work to students who then use AI to complete it before it is turned in and assessed by AI.

Switching our student absence system this year to where the parent/guardian now enters the reason for the absence directly into the gradebook/attendance system has been a fascinating experiment in oversharing.

Extremely grateful that bird migration inspired me to get my grades posted ASAP and not procrastinate until Monday's grade posting deadline
now that Canvas is down and I no longer have access to my gradebook (although I had downloaded backups, of course)

Submitted my final grades and compiled all my teaching documents to pass to whomever they hire to teach this course next.
And with that, my first semester as an Instructor of Record is over. I very much hope it won't be my last, but we'll see if I can get a teaching job!
