I finished Hagitude this evening, and I’m still so disappointed by that section. A book which had such potential to be intersectional and inclusive, wrecked by a lack of compassion.
Well, I got to the unpleasant section of Hagitude: 14 pages of both sidesism and “reasonable concerns” which included defences of Kathleen Stock and Germaine Greer. A very nasty twist after 200 pages of interesting discussion of history, mythology and landscape.

I see myself deeply in it.
Something awakens spiritually in menopause that insists on rooting down into life.

Reading this by Sharon Blackie at the moment and loving it. #Hagitude is such a great term for celebrating life post menopause. Reimagined, rather than written off by the patriarchy!
