#handwrite
This is awesome! I’m really bad at typing – dyspraxia™ – so being able to handwrite over the document without having to print a copy first is a game changer for me.

I'm definitely a nerd because I will get into a debate about why the insular g is not in fact an obsolete letter (a version of it is still used for lowercase g in quite a lot of fonts and a significant minority of people handwrite their lowercase g's that way as well).

In art school, for connoisseurship courses, I recall we had to use these little blue notebooks which meant 1) you had to handwrite and 2) you had to communicate complicated / intersecting thoughts *concisely* which is really hard to just wing
Same here, at RWU. Plagiarism via cut-and-paste from The Google was already an issue, plus general laziness and thinking the goal was "how do I get an A or just pass this required class" rather than "how do I learn to think cogently and write clearly?"

Big challenge right now is the state of my devops. I have a handwritten unit test and makefile build system. I manually invoke my asset compilation pipeline and handwrite yaml. For a single coder it's eh, but I would love to build towards a real project manager with live concurrent asset editing.

It's buggy with the s-pen on the galaxy s26 ultra! I can draw a line but I can't draw another line without creating a new object. Impossible to handwrite.

For context, some characters in Pentiment “handwrite” or “print” what they’re saying in the game, which shows their background and how they’re raised in the game’s setting (con)

student who six weeks into the semester somehow missed that these were supposed to be handwritten, e-mailed me in a panic over the weekend, and upon clarification got his girlfriend to help him handwrite into a notebook. (at this point I was just like 'whatever. your funeral.')

I'm going to start a new painting and write a fic I've been thinking about for months and I won't care if it looks like a 12 year old wrote it. I really want to execute my ideas and I have to start somewhere even if I have to handwrite and rewrite manually into ellipsus, editing comes later.

These are examples of some cards I've done before! It'd be something smaller/more chibi as they're easier to do, but in a more spooky Halloween vibe! I handwrite each name personally ^^

You're free to give me an OC or character to doodle! If you don't list one, I'll just draw my sona thanking you!

… it is directly opposite the special place for printed forms that require you to handwrite your street name, but the field is always only half as long as the name of every street I’ve ever lived on!

Learning to handwrite things is still important, y'all - especially your own name.
I didn’t believe it at first, either.

Nowadays nobody uses the wubi method because it's faster to send voice texts, handwrite it on a touchscreen, type it out via pinyin than learn the wubi method. The first step being you have to know how to handwrite Chinese in the first place lol. It's completely obsolete but I love the design...

Teaser Tuesday
Today is a bit of a double tease. First there is my newest short story Taught to Love out this week. Secondly these copies are lying on the first draft of a new novel coming soon. How many other 'inky' writers out there handwrite their first drafts?

And you remind me that in my seminary field work preaching days, I would sit down on Monday morning and handwrite, pen to paper, the coming Sunday's readings. It was almost meditative.
I kept it up even after we got computers.

Handwrite short stuff. Or whatever. Pen helps. You can't fix it. Doesn't need to be finished. Just do it.

Also get silly about it

and how is one supposed to convince others to read their books, anyway? the internet sucks so bad (i say, using the internet), that i almost am convinced it would be easier to handwrite letters and ship them to random addresses (which is still scammy as hell, but still).
